DATING TIPS:  BEST FRIENDS AND LOVERS

It happens time and time again, you fall in love with your best friend.  You need to break out of that crush because they’re never going to see you for the sexy beast you are.  But, how can you go about this, its tough.  However, I have some solutions to help you get back into the dating game and out of the friend zone with you current bff crush.

Make a change.  Embrace your friendship for what it is, a friendship.  Treat it only has friends.  Enjoy each other as friends, so you don’t have trouble getting back to dating.  This will give you time to transition from crush to friend. You’ll need to stop doing things together, just the two of you.  No more dinner dates, movie dates, grocery shopping, cooking together or watching TV at home.

1.    Try something new!  Switch your plans to doing things are basic and friendly.  Like, watching the game together or hanging out with your entire group of friends.  When something bad happens stop run to them, try a different friend or someone you can actually date.  Furthermore, if something happy happens, it’s the same deal; try to distance yourself from sharing any news with them.  They shouldn’t be your first call any more. This will give you opportunities to reach out to people who you can make deeper connections with.

By following these tips it will put you on the correct dating path.  You will start to see the friendship moving away from romance, which will allow you to find love with someone who is the right match.  Also, you may also come to a conclusion that you didn’t like them that way at all and it was just a phase.  When you both are in a friend zone, you can develop the perfect platonic relationship.

2.    Get out there and go on dates with other people.  Date as many people as possible to get your mind off your friend crush.  You can also see what their reaction is to you dating other people.  If they see you as just a friend they will not react much.  This way you’re opening you’re to dating, love and relationships.  It’s a whole new world of dating opportunity.

3.    You can always do the old fashion thing and have a conversation about how you’re feeling.  This however opens the door, because your feelings are put out on the table.  You could also talk in general sense of the word dating, no specifically identifying them as the person of interest.  This way you can see if they are actually interested in dating anyone romantically. You need to make sure you protect the friendship, don’t let something silly happen.  You’re both mature adults who can reason.  If you’re disappointed or sad, then that’s allowed, and everyone should understand.  But, don’t shut down and don’t shut anyone out.

4.    Take a step back and evaluate the situation.  If this is going to be harmful to your friendship then you need to rethink the idea of being with this person.  Instead try to avoid being around them as much as possible, and who knows, it may turn out that you both miss each other and you actually want to be dating and start a relationship.

5.    Try to change something in your own life to help the situation.  Use this opportunity to get yourself in shape, get a new haircut, make yourself feel the and look the best you can.  Be available to date and look good doing it.  Take the time to let you, be you.  Do the things you enjoy doing, you’ll feel happier and that will be contagious.  You’ll attract the right kind of person for you.

The first steps to getting back on the dating track all start with you.  You need to believe in yourself.  You need to go out of your way to make yourself the best you can.  Feeling great and looking great are always key factors to dating success.  If you’re in a friendship with feelings, you need to move on and get out.  You need to go meet your right match and start a relationship that you deserve.  Your friend will always be your there for you.  Friendship won’t fade, you’ll have the caring that comes from it, but more- you’ll have someone to love you unconditionally.  Do yourself a favor and get into the dating game, drop the friend zone and see who is really out there for you.  Make yourself happy and start today.
